My love of the outdoors stems from growing up in a small town in the Muskoka region of Ontario, Canada, where hiking, biking, camping, fishing, skiing, snowmobiling and canoeing were all routine activities. In 2014, I moved away to go to the University of Ottawa to study Commerce. I didn’t go expecting to become a marketer, but throughout various co-op placements, I discovered that I was very passionate about the field. Over the course of my university years, I lived in Ottawa, ON, Montreal, QC, and Paris, France. Upon graduation, I got a job at a federal government agency called Invest in Canada and have been working there since as a Digital Marketing Officer.

The experiences I had in all the places I've lived were phenomenal, but I always felt like I was missing one thing – the outdoors.

About‍‍

At the start of the pandemic, I decided to move back to my small hometown. Like so many people, I went stir-crazy during the lockdowns and decided to get a dog (#pandemicpuppy). I took up all my favourite activities again, and I loved being able to spend time outdoors every day. Working remotely has had its ups and downs, but ultimately, I am extremely grateful to have been able to reconnect with people and nature in my hometown. But, in November 2022 I decided I needed a change and I packed up and moved across the country to Squamish, British Columbia!

Squamish has been an amazing adventure. I've continued to do all the things I love like skiing, hiking and biking, but Squamish is the place to take everything to the next level. I've gotten into ski touring and backcountry camping, and I'm always looking for new things to try! Stay tuned to hear more about my personal and professional adventures!
